Jio’s president Kiran Thomas told investors that the company will split traffic into slices to support its home 5G service called AirFiber.

“We have created two lanes in our 5G highway,” says Thomas, “one dedicated for the home rollout AirFiber and one still continuing to serve our 5G mobile customers with the best network anywhere in the world.”

Jio is targeting 100 million customers with its FWA service. The company says it has already achieved 50% year-on-year growth in its JioFiber subscriber base.

Jio is India’s largest MNO, with 440 million subscribers. The company has already launched its 5G networks in 6,000 towns and cities across India.
