Science and Technology Park "Technopark Gliwice" was created in 2004 on the basis of resolution passed by the Senate of Silesian University of Technology. Agreement of the company was signed by Gliwice Community, Silesian University of Technology and Katowice Special Economic Zone. From that moment the formal institution emerged called Technoparkiem Gliwice.

The strategic goal of "Technopark Gliwice" creation is to create a modern, EU standards coherent and fulfilling investors and young graduates requirements, place where they can start own business related to innovation technologies enabling the economically and socially effective business activity, to use the huge intelectual potential of silesian society.
